What Sets Us Apart
Most dental practices handle routine care—cleanings, fillings, the occasional crown. Carnazza Dental is different.
We specialize in the cases other dentists refer out: complex cosmetic transformations, full mouth restorations, and implant treatment that requires both technical precision and artistic vision.
Dr. Carnazza built this practice around a simple philosophy: function and beauty are inseparable. A smile that looks good but doesn’t work properly won’t make you happy. Neither will teeth that function well but look artificial.
Academic Expertise Applied to Patient Care
Dr. Carnazza is a professor at NYU College of Dentistry. He teaches the next generation of dentists while staying current with emerging research and techniques.
Practicing since 1998 means he’s treated thousands of complex cases. That combination—academic rigor plus decades of hands-on experience—creates expertise that’s rare in private practice.
The Bio-Esthetic Approach
Most cosmetic dentists focus on appearance. Dr. Carnazza focuses on how your teeth, jaw muscles, and joints work together as a system.
This means your bite gets as much attention as your smile line. Occlusion—how your teeth meet when you bite—determines whether results last or fail.
It’s the difference between cosmetic work that looks good in photos and comprehensive treatment that feels right when you eat, speak, and live with it every day.
Family Legacy, Community Roots
Many Brooklyn natives recognize the Carnazza name, as the family has a long-standing history in the community. Dr. Carnazza’s namesake, his grandfather Gaetano, was a beloved barber. When his son Vito (Dr. Carnazza’s father) opted not to follow in his father’s footsteps and instead become an OB/GYN, his mother (Dr. Carnazza’s grandmother) paid for med school with her own wages she earned as a seamstress.
Now, Dr. Carnazza treats patients his father delivered. In some cases, three generations of the same family have been cared for by the Carnazza family.
After starting his dental practice in Brooklyn in the same building as his father’s office, Dr. Carnazza moved to his current location in East Rockaway. He updated the former dentist’s office to make advanced dental care accessible to more patients while maintaining that same commitment to community.
